Easy Holiday Eggnog Bread

Ingredients
  • 2 eggs 

  • 250mL (1 cup) Farmers Dairy eggnog

  • 10 mL (2 tsp.) Rum extract

  • 250mL (1 cup) of white sugar

  • 5mL (1 tsp.) of vanilla extract 

  • 250mL (1 cup) of softened butter. 

  • 560 mL (2 ¼ cups) All-purpose flour

  • 30 mL (2 tsp.) of baking powder

  • 2.5mL (½ tsp). salt 

  • 1.25 mL ¼ tsp. of nutmeg. 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, blend together the eggs, eggnog, rum extract, white sugar, vanilla and softened butter. 

  2. In another bowl, sift together all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. 

  3. Add the dry mixture to the eggnog mixture and stir just enough to moisten. 

  4. Pour into a greased 9”x5” pan and bake for 40 to 60 minutes at 350ᵒF.
